Monday 7/21/08. The framing crew has
placed pressure treated lumber
around foundation and secured with
anchor bolts. Headers are in place
over basement doors and LVL beam is
in place with temporary posts.
7/23/08. Most floor trusses are in place.
7/25/08. Floor trusses are all set and
decked. Supplies have been set on
floor so as to get a quick start next
week.
7/26/08. I was surprised to see the
crew working on Saturday. At the far
end a stud wall is built and ready to
erect.
Even got Sandy out to work leveling
some dirt that has been filled into
porch area.
7/27/08. I have worked very hard this
weekend using a skid loader (bob cat)
to fill back fill the porch, garage and
hangar. Just couldn't resist parking my
truck in the hangar.
8/2/08 Only one picture update this
week. Most walls are famed. We hope
to start setting roof trusses this week.
8/4/08 Early Monday morning I noticed a
crack in the foundation. Suspected
caused by backfilling inside of hangar
prior to walls going up and heavy rain
over the weekend. Fix - We piled dirt on
outside of wall to stabilize it. The dirt was
dug out and replaced with gravel. The
walls will help to hold the foundation in
place and metal straps were attached
around the corner.
8/6/08 AM The first roof trusses come
off the truck.
8/6/08 PM about 2/3s of the hangar
roof trusses are set.

trusses are in place and one side
almost sheeted.
8/8/08 PM Hangar sheeting done for now. Will be completed when other trusses are
set. Floor joist for balcony are almost done.
8/13/08 The garage doors, front porch
and second story have been framed
and trusses set over the bed room
area (right side of house).
8/15/08 All trusses have been set.

the basement.
8/22/08 It has been s slow week for
framing. The framing contractor had
another job that he had to start or lose so
most of the change from last week was
done on Thur and Fri.
